  1. Cornelius25 didnt think you were you going to castle king side
  2. Cornelius25 queenside i mean
  3. Cornelius25 which wasnt bad since I wanted to do a king side attack
  4. smsilb yeah, that was my plan since my pawns were pointing towards the queenside
  5. smsilb but by the time I got to castling, it was kind of moot since i'd blundered away the knight
  6. Cornelius25 I was also looking to put my queen on e2 with the threat of the a pawn to be retaken with check
  7. Cornelius25 I also thought you were going to double up the rooks to attack my g2 pawn, thats why i put my rook on f2
  8. smsilb yeah, that was definitely the threat.
  9. smsilb once you had your bishop on f3 and rook on g2, i couldn't get enough pieces pointing in that direction
  10. smsilb my queen was pretty well and stuck on a6
  11. Cornelius25 I also decided to go with the Birds opening since I saw you didnt see it much if at all, hoping to throw you off a bit
  12. smsilb haha yeah
  13. smsilb you totally threw me off
  14. smsilb i have _never_ seen 1. f4 before
  15. Cornelius25 yeah thats the bird
  16. Cornelius25 its not the best opening since you weaken your king a bit
  17. Cornelius25 but i like it
  18. smsilb yeah, in the 1400 range i'm sure that the weakened kingside is evened out by throwing your opponents off
  19. Cornelius25 lol
  20. smsilb plus, when your opponent throws away pieces, it hardly matters! haha
  21. Cornelius25 im still learning it, there are some traps like the swiss gambit (i think its called that)
  22. Cornelius25 lol been there and done that
  23. Cornelius25 yeah after I attacked your knight, the computer says the only move to stay even is the sad move back....
  24. smsilb yeah.. I think my first error was Be7 instead of Bd6
  25. Cornelius25 I think it was the queen move that allowed to to move my knight to attack
