thank you sir noel .
Yeeej another self help bs blog article. 3 things you should do, 5 things for a better sex life, 12 steps for more friends, 4 notes on a better life, 9 rules for chess.
like I said in another one of those post. Here is the 11 things you find in all those bs books.
- Take one small step.
- Change your mental maps.
- Struggle is good. Scary is good
- Instant judgment is bad.
- Remember the end of your life.
- Be playful.
- Be useful to others.
- Perfectionism = procrastination
- Sleep, exercise, eat, chill out. Repeat.
- Write it all down.
- You can't get it all from reading.
It's what the famous Dagestani philosopher Khabib Nurmagomedov said: This is some number one bullshit.
What i've learned is that chess masters read shitty books that follow a very similar formula for selling more books.

Basically it boils down to: develop self-discipline and a reliable way to measure progress where you don't jump to the wrong conclusions, and/or get a coach.

It sounds like you would greatly benefit from some self-help books. Not chess related ones.

Nah thank you. I worked in a book store for over a decade. I've seen hundreds of these books, read a couple for review purposes and even interviewed some authors.
Good for them they make some money but it's just copy-paste for every book since Marcus Aurelius' Meditations. And that guy was on drugs (opium) his whole life.
