Hi. thanks for news and your current perpective that puts in context your blog writing.
Went through the blog fast to see what was being put there. It seems maybe something missing at end. or you meant this for another blog to continue.
I am not for in-game sequential protocols (not really a choice, they just don't stick from studying them to in-game, ever, not built with prescritive squential mehod learning. It takes all sorts...
But, the 1,2,3,4, Is not that. It is a study analalyticl structure. An abstraction high level map. To further study and exploration of chess. While chess is locally deterministic from the static positoin information, and immediate move choice, it is still deployed by dynamics. And this 1,2,3,4 plan abstraction for the focussed sub-plan of passed pawn (and promotion, I kind of stlil have fog, about the consideration aspect of the defition(s) of passed pawn, maybe natural lnaguage versus congealed (?) or spcecialized language of "passed".
I canÉ't read more right now. Late beyond late for going away from this monitor and keyboard. But I am glad to have heared from you here. I mean back on the sharing train.. That I can see. I also notice some care about context about readership scope in your mind. Appreciated.

Yes, I forgot to paste the link (or it didn't save as it sometimes fails to do). Thanks for the heads up on that!

I have this dream to create a space where people get interested in the non-ratings non-tournament aspects of chess.
I'd love to see more of this, generally, so welcome your addition!

While obvious to my me and my inside castly choir, I thought I should share, that, of course, this Explore chess site with the widened assumptions, would be a place I would run to...
Edit: some AFK, meaning thinking back of my previous shared (self-impacting effect) thought. Now wondering, would it be a lecture site (one extremee) or an agora site (the other impossible web site dream). or something in between. More than one author 3 blog cramped front page, perhaps well spaces text and informative pictures not eye gaze honey pots (although sometimes informative in link with content is fruitful eye gaze chunk spent).
Is that too detailed questions. I did view lichess like that when the forum was still somethhing I could glance between board study and play. But I was made even then that my agora expectations were a bit ill placed (I am 5 years old in liches, online chess, and anything text sharing on internt age).
I am not asking it to be. But wanted to further see what the idea might be with respect to head of many walks of chess passion or curiosity or practice potential to argue leaving behind the compeptition mind set, in pursuit of chess exploration. The collaborative or cooperative potential. Not just lectures from the knowers, but testing among them, including non-knowers, still having reasoning ability to test the knowers, not as help desk, but as part maybe of converstations, that if only among knowers, might converge to some hermetical common sense, without the "but why" spices.. It might be idealistc that such a space might emerge, with the little time that perhaps other chess pursuit might approrpriate. It would have to be about certain type of chess passions taking some quality time of that.
So, in that angle of dreamy understanding or hope of mine. Have you had any thought already. Or are just first chekcing potential audience. And I will stll run to check anyway. and give it a chance. This is already a good premise. What I read.

i mean fascinating post
the end game you shows the last one
really illustrates what you are reffering to, i have beaten GMs
IMS NMS ETC and yes the pushing of pawns is not the means to the end goal
which is usually consiered promotion it could also be used as a detterent , enamorer and much more, inspirng, thank you.

Yes, I do not have the resources to run a whole website where this happens yet, and maybe even a lichess group might suffice. But I think people need a space where chess is appreciated in a non-competitive atmosphere. As a master level player (on my good days) I get a lot of enjoyment going over games with non-master level players. I find lower rated players give me enough insight that it is fun, and worth going over games with them.
I think I am just challenging the elitism of chess a bit.

I do not perfectly know how the site would be. The only thing on the site that would "be for sale" would be books I write. Outside of that, the idea would be as a space for people to explore chess non-competitively. I think this non-competitive idea can exist on say lichess. Someone could just solve puzzles and such. But there aren't historical writeups of anything here, there is not a place to show off neat chess sets or old chess sets, book discussion is usually limited on here. etc...
I just think there are a lot of non-competitive aspects of chess that do not have a home.
There are 2 big hurdles with such a website:
- Getting it made (one person has already reached out to me to help)
- Getting enough people there so I do not have to be the person who makes the posts and content 24/7 (because that would be draining).
So, I guess you can say I am in the dreaming stages of what the site should be like.

Thank you for the kind words.
I do not view myself as doing anything revolutionary. I am just a dude asking questions. I have much respect for anyone who ever wrote and published a book on any topic in chess. With passed pawns, Sam Shankland states that the topic hasn't been covered enough in literature, and so far as I can tell, he is indeed correct. Most of the time there are parts of a book dedicated to the topic, but not a whole book. My aim is to dedicate entire books to one concept, and thoroughly break it down however I can. There is no blueprint for this idea, so I do make it up as I go, doing my best to note where I have made an observation. I figure if I make an observation, and can find at least 10 examples of it without trying too hard, then odds are it is a common enough idea that the observation is worth printing.
Extremely rare concepts are good to point out too, if for no other reason than to demonstrate a neat scenario. One example would be underpromotion to a bishop. It is exceedingly rare, but nearly every time it is a requirement it is a neat position.

Rare, where? Important, for what?
There is a difference between not explicitly shared, and rare in one life-time experience.
And then important to learn as the learning might be transitive to even other situations, and not even that pattern being generalized but the thinking level of having learned the specific pattern, the particular "geometry" of the static mobility figure choice that does the desirable plan chunk goal (promotion correlation with end game, making it more often a mate or near mate punchiline of static mobility to perceive or act on). Just adding concerns.
The pin seeable being separated from the evaluation considerations (dependent on further experience), do you think it was just about learning there are good pin and bad pins? The originality for me may not have been the actual knowledge, or not only, but the fact that we can learn from our young chess age things without already knowing them to begin with. (yes, sound loopy, but I am trying concise and expressive formulation, counting on human call stack memory, and long-term reasoning, to get what I mean, or if I am wrong, to get something better than what I meant, i.e. I am counting on my fellow humans to figure it out, even better that myself).
