Chess is... complicated.

Chess
How I made it to here with success

Practice? Practice! PRACTICE!!

Chess is complicated. Practice it while you can. All the World Champions had practiced for years, but not like a few, its a LOT.
I played chess for 3 YEARS, and people that played for a month or two could beat me. Why? Practice! The more you play, the better you are! And, don't be afraid to blunder a queen or whatever, just keep going! A queen don't mean anything, what matters is if you keep trying until victory! PS: A good technique is to play first Casual games, and THEN play Rated ones. Casual ones will not affect your rating. Its a good way to build skills because you have no worries about losing points.

If you want to get to the top, there's always the risk that it will insolate you from other people. Magnus Carlsen

I prepare myself well. I'm always confident. Bobby Fischer

From those two quotes, we learn that there's always a risk in chess and BE PREPARED. Its not like you've prepared for everything, just what's coming an what your going to do next.
