Official Telangana is an officially recognized Lichess team dedicated to representing and promoting the game of chess across the state of Telangana. This team acts as a central hub for all chess-related updates, announcements, tournament information, and achievements connected to the Telangana chess community.

We regularly organize and host online tournaments on Lichess, including arena events, team battles, and special competitions for different age groups and rating categories. Alongside online activities, Official Telangana also conducts over-the-board (OTB / in-person) tournaments, training programs, chess meets, and developmental events across Telangana to encourage chess growth at the grassroots and competitive levels.

Our mission is to unite chess players from Telangana, support young talent, provide fair competitive opportunities, and help players improve their skills in a disciplined and sportsmanlike environment. Players from schools, colleges, academies, clubs, and independent backgrounds are all welcome to be part of our team.

Cheating, engine use, or any unfair assistance is strictly prohibited.

Members should represent Official Telangana with honesty and sportsmanship in all events.

Players connected to Telangana (by residence, school, academy, or association) are encouraged to join.

Final decisions regarding participation in official events rest with the team administrators.

Administrative Rights

Team admins reserve the right to remove any member who violates rules or harms the team’s integrity.

Rules may be updated as required for better organization.
