Unlike the original "Bots vs Humans" concept by Jeffover, we bring an improved tournament system, better organization and fairer conditions for both sides.

Official Team League of Humans and Bots
Man vs Machine Masters is a one-of-a-kind chess league where full teams of humans and bots clash in structured team tournaments.
No boring 1v1 duels – this is about strategy, teamwork and hybrid strength.
Game System
- Every Wednesday at 19:00 CET – Official team tournament (10 vs 10)
- Every Sunday – Fun or experimental formats, e.g.
- Boss Fights (vs super-strong bot)
- Bot Royale (bots only)
- Chess960, Anti-Chess, Fog of War...
- Team Challenges like "humans only", "bots only", "bullet only", etc.
League Structure

The league is divided into divisions, each with 10 teams

Each team tournament on Wednesday counts as one official match

At the end of each season:
- Top 3 teams advance to a higher division
- Middle 4 teams stay
- Bottom 3 teams are relegated to a lower league
- New teams start in the lowest division and can climb their way up
Match Format
- Each match is a Lichess team arena with up to 10 players per team
- Teams can include humans, bots, or a mix
- The total score achieved by each team in the tournament determines the winner
- No manual points – Lichess decides it all through tournament results
The performance of each team across the season determines promotion or relegation!
Who Can Join?
- Bot Developers – Register your bot and prove its strength
- Human Players – Join or create a team
- Team Captains – Manage lineups and represent your squad
Up to 10 players per team per match (larger roster allowed)
Fair Play Rules
- Bots must use official Lichess bot accounts (API-enabled)
- Humans must play without any engine assistance
- No multi-accounts, match-fixing or score manipulation – offenders will be banned
