1e4c52Nf3Nc63b4!?...3. b4!?
📖 Sicilian Defense: Portsmouth Gambit

A variant of the Wing gambit, White sacrifices the b4 pawn for a semi-open b-file and often an open c-file, along with control of the center and quick development.
This also frees up the a1-h8 diagonal.

This move also has the highest white win-rate in Lichess and Master games.
In this study, we will go over variations of the Sicilian Defense: Portsmouth Gambit, and look at master games with this opening.
Hopefully after looking at these games, you will understand the common ideas in this opening.
