I would like to know how the puzzle's rating is calculated. There's days that I do 50 puzzles, 35 correct and 15 failed, but I still reach the end of the day with less rating points before do them. I see that I generally win 7 points from a correct puzzle, but I loose 16 if miss it. I don't want to feel bad, that's why I want to know how the points are given.

It's calculated using the Glicko-2 rating system, same as the ratings for playing categories. Rating is used to serve you puzzles of appropriate difficulty. Solving higher-rated puzzles correctly gives a larger rating gain, and failing them a lower rating loss. Opposite is true for lower-rated puzzles.
