I AM CONSTANTLY GETTING DISCONNECTED BECAUSE OF THE AWFUL SERVERS ON THIS GAME, FIX YOUR SERVERS OR STOP GIVING TIMEOUTS

I am getting that problem too, only in the last few days but almost every game. There is nothing wrong with my internet. My fix is using my iphone to connect to the game I am playing on my laptop, so of my laptop goes out I can still play on the small screen and don't lose any time or forfeit.

Check the answer at lichess.org/lag, but that only explains a lag of about I second (my internet does have a high "ping"). I have been lagging for much longer, and if I try to refresh the page, I lose because of disconnection. If it's bad I tell my opponent at the beginning of the game. Most players are very understanding and will wait for you.

First of all, calm down. Secondly, it may be your Internet lagging. When I don't have connection problems the game is ok and I don't disconnect, so probably the Lichess servers aren't the problem for your disconnections. If there are a lot of games in progress there may be some congestion in the servers but this is not very common.

I'll pretend your question is the more constructive, "Where is the Lichess server located?" since chances are, your ISP is slow connecting to the server:

The problem is with your wifi connection. Lichess has fixed the servers, and if you still have a problem message Thibault to get your own personal response from him.

Only registered members with one week of lichess activity can contribute to the Q&A.
