  1. GlennJamesMax 4...exd4 this is going to be a tough game. I have a horrible cold, so no room to prep
  2. GlennJamesMax 6...Nd7 I don't think he expected this. Surprising, given it's clearly the best. Maybe because I played worse lines till recently
  3. GlennJamesMax 8.Nxd4 now I don't remember if it is Ba6, Qh4 or Bc5 all look reasonable
  4. GlennJamesMax even c5 is definitely a move here
  5. GlennJamesMax 10...Nb6 unless this is some computer prep I think he's cooked
  6. GlennJamesMax the two pawns mean nothing but Qf3 Bc5 and his position is collapsing
  7. GlennJamesMax 11.Qd4 now Qxd4 Nxd4 0-0-0 is one option
  8. GlennJamesMax and Qh5 Nc3 Bb7 is another
  9. GlennJamesMax 12...Qg6 this is just game over I think. Qe4 was much tougher
  10. GlennJamesMax he just missed Qg6 and the double threat
  11. GlennJamesMax sadly I think his best is Qf2 but that's basically the same as resigning
  12. GlennJamesMax I didn't check e6 in this specific spot.
  13. GlennJamesMax it's annoying. Now I have to calculate.
  14. GlennJamesMax as far as I can see Qxg2 exf7+ Kxf7 and now
  15. GlennJamesMax Ne5+ Kg8 and there's now follow-up as I control d5-and c4
  16. GlennJamesMax Qf4+ Kg8 and Ne5 threatens mate but is one tempo slow as I have Qe2#
  17. GlennJamesMax I'm sure this doesn't work but have to double-check because I just lose if I'm wrong.
  18. GlennJamesMax giving up that LSB really hurt him...the light squares are so important in both attacks
  19. GlennJamesMax I checked about 15 times there's no check here
  20. gavalanche20 Slightly funny how good a job the knight on b6 is doing at defending the king
  21. GlennJamesMax @gavalanche I love how well the knight on b6 worked out
  22. GlennJamesMax that knight and bishop did overtime work today
  23. aeroplanino1986 Thanks for the comments.. That N on b6 was a misterious monster
  24. aeroplanino1986 I was too materialistic
