  1. Ceramic Wow so fast
  2. Ceramic All theory?
  3. Chaozu good game
  4. Chaozu I missed Nb6, think i was in real trouble there
  5. SebastianJL I was thinking 26. f3 Bf5 Bxf5 Nxf5 and I was going to be miserable with weak d pawn. Thought I was worse at that point.
  6. SebastianJL But Nxd7 was insane :p
  7. Chaozu yeah if ididn't have Qf7 im prolly lost
  8. Chaozu so it was a good shout
  9. Chaozu but instead 26.fxg3 was a real concern for me
  10. Chaozu wasn't sure what my next move as going to be
  11. SebastianJL What did you dislike about 26... Bf5?
  12. Chaozu 26.fxg3 Bf5 Bf5 Nf5 Nd7 loses the exchange
  13. Chaozu and 26.fxg3 Bf5 Qf5 Qc6 and d5 drops as well
  14. Chaozu also the Qc6 threatens my king so Qf2 doesn't seem to be working
  15. Chaozu but yeah the minority attack was good, if you keep your knight on e2 i have no break on the kingside and then you can bring ure rooks across
  16. Chaozu to the Q-side
  17. SebastianJL Ok interesting, I felt like I had to improve my knight, but i guess stopping your break is the more important thing
  18. Chaozu yeah, normally improving the knight would be right but i had no idea what to do if you just left it there:
  19. Chaozu as if i push k-side pawns you get k-side squares
  20. Chaozu for the knight
  21. SebastianJL True, I was thinking too vaguely at that point. I thought you'd play Ne4 and some pawn push would kill me. Will have to remember to be more
  22. SebastianJL concrete in the future
  23. Chaozu yeah the details matter, i think if you get Nf4 in im strategically lost
  24. Chaozu but that doesn't mean more calculation necessarily! Also making simple decisions quickly is important
  25. Chaozu easier said than done im afraid :)
  26. Chaozu ure right, i would have tried Ne4 though after Be4 fe4 it still felt like a while before i have a real attack
  27. Chaozu and all you have to do is defend f2 in the man time
  28. Chaozu *mean time
  29. Chaozu and if you got in h5-h4 for free then gh gh Nf4 looks very good for you
  30. Chaozu and Bd7 needed to defend c6 which is a bummer
  31. SebastianJL Oh I thought ...Ne4 Bxe4 would be terrible because I'm permanently tied to defence of f2.
  32. Chaozu i can only get 3 guys attacking there at most
  33. Chaozu with more minor pieces on the board it could definitely be very dangeorus
  34. Chaozu but yeah hard to assess in general, maybe we are both being too pessimistic
  35. SebastianJL Well, thanks for the game and analysis. And good luck for rest of tourney :)
