Computer analysis tab shows analysis only up to current move?

When in analysis, the computer analysis tab (where there's the engine evaluation) only shows the evaluation up to the current move. So if you're at the end of the game you see the whole graph, but if you're at move 20 you only see up to move 20, and the graph is expanded as you move up the game. I really don't like this, is there a way to turn this off?

Am I mistaken in thinking this is this extension doing this? When I use incognito mode (without the extension) the graph shows fine (i.e. it is static).

You have to be more specific:

  • in Analysis Board there is no Lichess server computer analysis or graph - it's only the one that LiChess Tools generates
  • in Study, you can request server analysis and see the chart - there the functionality of the local analysis engine in the chart is not shown
  • when analyzing a games you played, which I assume it's what you mean, you can request a server analysis, in which case you should see the whole chart. The local engine analysis will also be shown, but only the moves you have analyzed locally with the engine. If you move into a variation, that chart will show the variation, not the mainline, as the server chart does.

I can't reproduce what you describe. Can you maybe paste an image here so I can see what you mean?

That's so weird.. and yes I mean analysis in a played game

I'll post a gif later maybe, but maybe the program isn't lichess tools.. it's just that incognito mode without extensions fixes it

It's simple to check, @Patrizsche . Just disable only LiChess Tools from the Extensions in the browser and see if that's the problem. I did make changes on the chart lately and it's very likely it's from that, but I need to understand the issue in order to fix it.

For me, the chart is always as long as the game, even if I don't run the server analysis, because the material and principled and accuracy lines cover the whole thing anyway:

Ah, wait. Maye you have them disabled. Yes, if I leave only local it looks kind of weird:

Is that what you mean? I will fix it. But meanwhile, just enabled Accuracy, for example, and it will show the entire chart:

I tested: the problem goes away when I deactivate the extension from Chrome, or as you suggested, when I turn on accuracy. FYI this is how I had it configured (no extra charting option selected):

I see. Well, I think I solved it. We'll have to wait for Google to publish. Thanks for the report!

OK thanks for the help. Also I might keep accuracy on for a while, I kinda like it :)

I have the same problem, thank you so much, TotalNoob69, for solving it! :D
I can hardly wait for the update on Google! Because yes, this recent constant zooming in and cutting off the game in the analysis tab by Lichess Tools is really annoying.

And thank you, Patrizsche, for mentioning the problem! :) I've been experiencing this problem for a few days to a couple of weeks and was waiting for the right time to report it. You beat me to it, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the issue! Next time, I'll report it right away/let you know if I encounter a problem with Lichess Tools! :)

Either way, Lichess Tools is great, and this community here for continually improving Lichess Tools is awesome!
