That is because we thought it was Best OF 10 (meaning the first one to 10 points) so we played till he got 10 points

Addressing Match Issues:
In general, it is up to you and your opponent to schedule a match. You should provide as much information as possible to the other player so that you can find a time that works.

In the event that this does not work and someone is unable to accommodate the other, the arbiters get to decide whether an extension is the proper means to address the scenario, or whether a player should be forfeited. Extensions will only be provided in the case where the players have contacted the arbiters early on and the reasons for their inability to play are logical, or in the event of an emergency/unpredictable event, or in the case where good faith efforts were visible from both parties but ultimately no match resulted. If we determine that these conditions are not met, we will forfeit one player depending on who has done a better job of scheduling.

Best of 10 means 5.5 or higher, you aren't supposed to play until 10 wins

We didn't know that(we forgot).

Also in my school best of 10= The first to 10. So I thought like that.
