Special GTC Event - Commencing May 2022

Hi guys!

We said that at 100 members we would launch a special event!

Well, we have now, so here is some information :

-It will include GTC rounds and chess ( potentially! )
- Will be fun and competitive

Note this :

To gain auto qualification to the event, you will need some criteria matched.
Either 3 or more points, or 15 or more rounds participated.

There will be chances for people not attaining this, to play, with other qualification rounds.

The best way to get the Auto Qual. - Is to guess in Rounds 18 and 19 - to get the 3 points needed!

Rounds and rules are being written up etc. - and will be published soon as detailed below !

After Rounds 18 and 19, both conclude, with 30 posts in each, we will publish - Full rules and information, and the first rounds following that.

I will be sending the first round of questions out on Sunday - before I am off on a school residential ( where technology is strictly banned ) - so you will not hear back from me till later in the week.

The deadline will be a week on Sunday anyways for that matter.

#8, indeed, not yet.

A quick little update seems to be needed, so I will just post it here:

@ TheKingClash seems to have closed his account and thus left this team.
Leaving @ CHlivelylemon and me (george_mcgeorge) as team leaders.
The team ain't doing so well right now (from over 100 members down to 93, which in all fariness still is a lot), due to many members and the team as a whole being less active.
So, we might look into it and try to get the team up and running again, but we don't want to rush anything.
In case the team becomes more active in future, we still want to guess countries; so for anyone worrying that this team would change significantly if active again, there's nothing to worry about: Having fun and guessin' the country or other georgraphical related things is the main purpose of this team and this aspect will stay.
So, for now this is all I can say about the unsure future of this team.
It's definetely been a great time here and I wanted to say for anyone who participated in the round, especially for those who organized the rounds and the founder of this team (TKC): Thank you.
