I think people peaksit partially because they fear losing their rating, but also because rating was their motivation to play chess and now they dont have any near goals

I dont really think it matters all that much #6. It has much less of an impact when you say someone's name who we all will forget in 10 minutes, than it does to start a mini argument over it

for bullet/blitz, I use touch screen because I suck with mouse. use whichever you want for rapid/classical, pc/laptop can draw arrows which makes visualizing easier

no, in fact if they knew your rating they would start you at that because being lets say 1200 and resetting to 1500 would give your opponents free points.
