Hi smndvd
Early days (1-2) on the autopairing and already FMs and me are playing a lot on it. Give it a month and then we can better judge. For me a particular tournament doesn't have a social feel but I haven't really played tournaments here at all. I just don't like the idea of going into a specific tournament compared to the autopairing pools.
Cheers, K
can you play autopairing 5 minute here on lichess it might be interesting
It seems to me the tournaments are getting fewer and fewer people everyday since the introduction of pools.
I think eventually they will just die out.
The benefit of pools over tournament play is that you can jump right in at any moment and start playing. To play in tournaments, you have to wait for them to start.
That's right. I see the benefits.
What I do like in tournaments is adrenalin pumping up when you can catch the leader and there's few time remaining. We won't have that in pools, so I hope tournaments won't die out.
Tournaments shouldn't and won't die out. But having multiple tournaments per hour is overkill and was unsustainable as soon as anything else attractive was introduced on the server. Fewer tournaments will be not only necessary, but will make each tournament more meaningful.
I am even hearing his voice when I lay down. "It seems like laying down is the best move here....yes..my kibitzer shows that actually, LAYING DOWN is the most popular move. It apparently relieves the tension caused by this massive excess of drugs. Laying down....>"
Swiss style tournaments is what I have been waiting for. In the meanwhile I love the five min pool just great, Thanks.
The question to get to 2300 yesterday started with a preliminary three hour session (!) .....
