Why blocking people if you lose? I'll cry right now!

He said: "I strongly suspect he was using chess engines" ....

He can't even admit he blocks people just because he's on tilt and can't handle loosing!

Oh no I lost .... well my opponent must have cheated then! great logic!

"strongly suspects"! ... what a joke.

It was 30 obvious moves + me taking a free pawn and winning material in an exchange that you initiated
And by the way, did you forget about the existence of en passant?

At least check the game genius!
TL;DR You and everyone else to have the site-given right to block any user, so there is no reason to complain.

Blocking a player for no good reason is annoying and confusing, but there's nothing explicitly wrong with it. Most likely they just don't want to play you again, or they really think you're cheating but not confronting you about it. That shouldn't affect you. All lichess users have the right to block people; don't complain that you've been blocked. Yes it is childish, but if you spend a bunch of time getting angry, you are the one who suffers

Accusing someone of cheating is different and shouldn't be happening. If someone does that, play out the game, and block them afterwards if you feel like it.

I even can't understand why it is annoying to be blocked by random other users. After more than 5,000 games, I still get paired mostly with people who I never had played before, so almost nothing would change, even if all my opponents had blocked me after our game.
There SHOULD be a right to block any person for no reason. I just don't like to play with you, that's it, blocked. Why do I need to have a reson? Why do you care so much? I never noticed that someone blocked me(which probably happened but I don't care).
Besides cheaters that I report and block, I usually block people who are in my opinion playing clown chess(regardless if I win or loose).

Like we are playing 10+5 rapid and they are playing grob opening and blitzing every move in under 2 seconds. Well I don't want to play that garbage and waste my time and I just block those guys.
Maybe take it as a sign that they don't want to play with you anymore

Find a new opponent and get over it

I may sometimes not even be the case. I only blocked few users so far and none of them because I didn't want to play them. (I mostly play tournament games so it wouldn't work anyway.) Most blocks were side effects of reporting inappropriate forum comments and in two cases it was to avoid unwanted direct message communication after they ignored my request to stop.

And comment #6 suggests that there may have been more interaction than just a lost game.
I block people I suspect are cheaters. Sometimes, patterns are suspicious. Do I want to play against someone rated between 1800 and 2000 who can perfectly play the 13 first moves of 25 different openings without ever making an inaccuracy until move 13? It's online chess. I think it would be good to have stats about players, and maybe flags. For example, someone is on a winning streak and there is a significant deviation in terms of their opening skills in a short period of time across a wide variety of openings. Do I want to know about this? Sure. Do I want to play against these players. Not sure. It's okay to lose in a game with a lot of tactics where everyone blundered 4 to 5 times around these ratings. But do I want to play against someone who has a streak of victories with 90+% accuracy when they win while playing either (1) very long games with many moves or (2) incredibly complex tactical games in a 10+5 game? Some things are weird. I work with huge datasets. I think we could have very interesting profiles of players if we wanted. Why not try and make the results public? Do you want to play against a 1850 guy who plays tactics like a 2200? Do you accept to play against a 1900 guy who plays his openings like a professional chess player. Do you want to play guys who are sigma 6 outliers with regard to any aspect of their game when compared to a general population of players. It would be nice before accepting an opponent to have a full profile. I'm not necessarily against people wanting to use their documentation to play, but engaging them should be a choice based on reliable information everyone should have before playing a game. This, I believe, is essential to online chess.
Great, just got blocked for the 4th time (the ones I know of)
Opponent simply blundered his queen, resigned and blocked me!

No, I don't care about the block itself, especially from a person I don't even know, but I'm surprised that most people consider such childish behavior to be something normal ....

You played bad, blundered your queen, sad? mad? crying?

Not exactly normal. (What exactly is the definition of "normal"?) Rather something not worth losing your temper or time over.

No. Most people don't even know when they were blocked by their opponent, because they don't try to contact them. Therefore they have no reason to complain about it. And I still suspect, your opponents block you after you tried to contact them.
