Stockfish suggesting strange move?

After I input 1. d4 d5 into lichess analysis, the engine suggests 2. h3. What is the point of this strange-looking move? There is no need for such prophylaxis so early in the game. To me, a space-gaining move such as 2. c4 or 2. Nf3 is better.
Doesn't happen when I tried it with lichess analysis. Seems to suggest c4 instead.
It is the 5th option, meaning: You're giving away the advantage you have as the white player but you are not giving advantage to the black pieces. It's not to say it is a good move, it is just not too bad.

Other moves will give an equal position or a slightly better position for the black pieces.

option #1: 2.c4 +0.3
option #2: 2.Nf3 +0.3
option #3: 2.Bf4 +0.1
option #4: 2.e3 +0.1
option #5: 2.h3 0.0

Engines are weak in openings without access to their opening database. I guess the particular engine with the particular settings notices some lines 1 d4 d5 2 c4 where black gains and keeps a pawn dxc4 and white does not gain back tangible compensation within the horizon of the engine settings. I guess the engine then notices lines 1 d4 d5 2 Nf3 Bg4 that it evaluates as beneficial for black within its horizon. Thus 2 h3 to prevent 2...Bg4.
It also seems that after 1. d4 d5, only two moves retain the first-move advantage. 2. Nf3 gives +0.1 and 2. Bf4 gives +0.2.
A position can only be equal or won for one side. Strictly speaking the engines calculate some crude figures without knowing to which result it leads. The figures are somewhat random because there's a limited depth.

These are no scientific measurements, rather a bit lucky guessing. Probably both lead to draw, as well as some others. ;)
