The best takeback is premoving and then ask for it when a piece is lost. :)
Disable this!
I called people ask takeback as ch****n. Sorry bad words. Don't play if u afraid to lose
If a rated game no take backs.if casual sure.
welp, just like what #6 stated, you can't expect them to accept takebacks even if you accept theirs
it's often declined if the takeback you suggested removes that mistake you probably did that gives your opponent an advantage, and of course opponents would like to keep that advantage; most of us are just greedy that way
i suggest you note that your opponents don't exactly have to accept takebacks just as you may do, cause you are competing against each other to win after all
and what better to easily win, just by having that greedy advantage of taking advantage of your accepted takebacks and declining yours
Napoleon didn't ask for a take-back at Waterloo..if he had, do you think Wellington would have said "Yeah, sure thing, bro.."?
I never have and never will request a takeback. I'm afraid that if I am not annoyed by my mistakes I will never learn anything. I will allow takebacks but most likely only one per move.
In my opinion, the takeback option shouldn't even exist.
I never asked for takeback, I never accept my opponent request for takeback.
Last time my opponent asked for takeback, I continue playing anyway. He kept insulting me for a few move. I don't care.
In a real tournament would Magnus or even a club player ask for take back?
I will add this: a few times, opponent asked for a takeback, it made me realise he made a blunder I didn't see at once. Too bad for him :)
