CALLING ALL PATRONS: If you are a Patron, can you disable the orange DONATE ad?

Why do you care? I'm wanna pay for them, but you're nervous! NVM, it's a part of lichess! ;)
I think it's okay for the site developers to put the donate button up at the top right. It's not that intrusive from my point of view.

Also relevant is you can use uBlock's "lightning bolt" icon button to disable containers via clicks only.

You don't even need to know any CSS code: it's literally: click lightning bolt, click container, maybe an additional click if the container doesn't disappear, done & back to normal.
If you really want to see a Donate option, there's a link at the bottom of the Community menu. Patrons can still see that one.

Ups! I was saying to the original poster not to you, sorry if I offended you.
The donate button next to tools has never shown up for me even when I wasn't a patron.

‘Compete with Chesscom’ When did this became a competition? No one goes like ‘LETS SEE WHO WILL BE THE BEST CHESS WEBSITE BEFORE 2025’ Just play wherever you want!

>Very generally, Lichess wants to do everything that chess websites do in the Lichess way; free of ads, trackers and paywalls, while paying fair rates and salaries to support the wider chess community. This includes producing content such as live-streams, videos, study materials, blog posts, investigative reporting and much more.

Seems like Lichess would like to compete better with Chess.com and Play Magnus Group merger, so they are calling for more donations. This is a good thing, otherwise Chesscom would be a complete monopoly
@IbrahimMoizoos you don't seem to realise that chess.com is nowhere close to a monopoly, and that lichess will always have quite a large number of users because of the no-ads and free content and better user experience.

It was only added like last week, hence all the people complaining.
