... are threats to violate lichess.org/terms-of-service . Lichess already penalizes excessive multi-accounting which is (IMHO) a rule #7 violation.

well, also starting new account means that ranter him/herself is again the dreaded '?' player.

Nobody observes this rule. People have a huge number of duplicate accounts.
And if the developers start to punish someone for this, they will have to start with Magnus Carlsen. For the last 7 title arenas, he changed 3 accounts. Is not that too much? Maybe it's time to ban it?
