There should never have been any trial at all. Ukrainian President is on record that he was not pressured, Trump did nothing illegal, and has every right to fire and hire anyone he wishes, every president does this. His entire branch of government, serves at his pleasure. Senators have heard HOURS of testimony from 13 witnesses, just because you say there were no witnesses doesn’t make it so. What you are referring to is a Democrat’s hoax that there weren’t MORE witnesses, and that old witnesses didn’t get to repeat their lies on TV. Their testimony that Senators heard was sufficient enough waste of time.

It would be better if you stopped parroting Liberal talking points, and instead focused on something real, such as great economy, low unemployment, despite Obama saying Trump would need a magic stick to deliver such numbers.

@Letgoofmychessego I would argue that the 5th amendment (I assume that's what you meant) was not violated. I assume you are referring to the following: '...nor shall be deprived of life liberty or property without due process of law...'. Since the issue in question was regarding a political appointment, the president is allowed to use his discretion in such cases, unless I am mistaken. This means that the individual in question was not deprived of any liberties from a technical sense.

@SlicingBishop2006 I agree with your claim that it wasn't Trump that caused the economic situation we have currently, but I also disagree with the idea that Obama was primarily responsible for getting the US out of the recession. That was Ben Bernanke, if we attribute it to any one individual.

I will refrain from arguing with Kusokosla as I have done in a previous incarnation of this discussion regarding the economy. This is because we have different concepts, as well as points of view, of Trump's degree of success in this regard, and our points of view mean that neither one will accept the other's claims.

@Letgoofmychessego : I'm literally responding to your claims. I assumed you meant 5th amendment, which was not violated (maybe I misinterpreted '5th ave', post 27). This relates to the impeachment, because it means that there were no grounds for impeachment, according to the US constitution.
