Is Lichess draw claim rule in accordance with FIDE rules?

The FIDE rules to claim draw after a threefold repetition clearly state that the claim has to be made during the turn of the player who wants to claim the draw. Yet I had a draw claimed by an opponent during my own move. Why is this possible on Lichess? I thought that the draw claim has to be made when it’s the respective player’s turn, before they move.
In Lichess, if threefold repetition occurs, there will be an option to play on or claim the draw. The first person to choose the option is what will happen, so people turn automatic draw on repetition here: lichess.org/account/preferences/game-behavior. However, if they choose to play on, and keep repeating their moves, then a draw will be claimed automatically. As to why this is true, I believe this is because FIDE rules are different from online rules, and so this is to compensate for that.
@Gregsen not all rules for FIDE are here on lichess, for example, you can't premove during a normal game, but on lichess you can. You also can't automatically promote to a queen in real games, but here on lichess you can.

But that’s the thing - My opponent decided to play on. Why can he still claim draw on MY turn?!
If he wasn't able to claim the draw, you could keep checking him until he runs out of time. Even if he had KB (keyboard input) and was able to move insanely fast, games like yours (and even at the top level) would result in perpetual, pointless checks, which are annoying, flagging, and not what Lichess wants. Imagine losing a game because of timeout and repetition and not being able to claim the draw?
@TurboFuture sorry, I don’t understand what you are saying. My opponent had the opportunity to claim draw on his turn. He decided against it and played a move. Now it’s my turn. Why can he still claim draw?! This makes no sense to me, and it isn’t in accordance with the rules of chess.
@Gregsen as I said in my earlier post, lichess doesn't follow all the rules of FIDE chess. And lichess enables it so you can do this.
@TRex7 I read your post but I felt you’re comparing apples to oranges. Premoving and auto promoting doesn’t give you an advantage you wouldn’t otherwise have in real chess, unless it’s bullet chess or something. This misinterpretation of the draw rule, however, does.
@Gregsen True, but the point I'm making is that because Lichess is online instead of over the board. There are many differences between it and Normal FIDE chess.
Could it be that he repeated for the 3rd time third activating the auto-claim?

In principle this would be otb: write the move down, call the arbiter and claim draw. This is a bit hard to code 1:1.
