Hello all - just got myself a few PC (Intel Core i7-9700 CPU, 8 Cores / 8 Threads, 3.0GHz - 4.7Ghz) with a 23-in Asus monitor, and everything works just fine ... until I log on to Lichess and play a game or two. Within a few minutes the screen starts flickering, and when I finished the game, an after-image remains on the screen ... I've made sure both PC and monitor are on 75hz refresh rate, but other than that I've no clue how to fix it. Anyone here experience anything similar? Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you mean to type "new"? Perhaps it's not quite set up correctly. You didn't mention the OS, which means I'm going to assume you're using Windows. Make sure you apply all the usual windows updates, then ensure you've got the latest drivers for your graphics card.

- Yes, it happens every time I try to have a Lichess game. Everything is fine until a couple of minutes into the game: the flickering starts. I doesn't stop until I restart the computer, and reset the refresh rate.

- Sorry, yes I meant "new" computer, with Windows 10 -and the monitor is 27inch, not 23 inch. It should have all the latest updates, cos everything is new - and, again, I'm assuming the company I bought it from (Chillblast) would have fitted the latest drivers. I have sent them a query ... will let you know if they can give me an answer.
Thank you all for taking the time to respond.

@gaviano They should have put the latest drivers on, yes. Perhaps go into the updates page and check all updates are installed including optional updates. You might want to check out Firefox or Edge to see if the problem is limited to chrome. Make sure you have no browser extensions installed while you test. Maybe look for a webpage which makes use of your graphics card, such as here: https://www.shadertoy.com and see if you get glitches on other sites.

Have discovered that the flickering happens ONLY when I use the green board, and the light theme ... it's all working perfectly otherwise! Weird ... but at least the problem is solved! Thank you anyway Doofenshmirtz for your response - very much appreciated.

@gaviano Perhaps there's a button on your monitor which does an "auto" sync or lock or adjust or something. It's possible it's not quite synced up properly with the graphics card. And make sure you're using the native resolution of the monitor. You shouldn't have to avoid certain colours/boards on a new PC.
