Black Lives Matter

@zykloned

That is a really interesting username you have there, Zyklon.

Floyd was suspected of writing a bad check. The suspicions were wrong, he was innocent, and the police pursued him in a completely illegal manner. If Floyd had a gun and killed all four of the cops that held him down and murdered him, he would have been in his rights of self-defense as an American citizen facing a wrongful arrest and assault.

Take the mask off, it's not fooling anyone of any intelligence anymore; I doubt that it's even fooling you, low bar that may be.
When you find yourself agreeing on race issues with someone who calls themselves 'Zyklon' you should probably examine your beliefs and implicit biases for the first time in your life, or own up to your racism and at least become honest about it instead of committing to being truly the worst kind of person.
#940 Get your facts and sources straight... Floyd was arrested for similar fraud but not the same:

“George Floyd and I were both arrested for allegedly spending a counterfeit $20 bill,” wrote Mark McCoy, a 44-year-old archaeology professor at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. “For George Floyd, a man my age, with two kids, it was a death sentence. For me, it is a story I sometimes tell at parties. That, my friends, is White privilege.”

"DailyMail.com can reveal Chauvin's wife Kellie was charged with writing a bad $42 check in February 2005 in Wisconsin
And despite multiple letters sent to her home, she hadn’t paid the owed money by July of that year"

@Hierophantc4

I think it is proved that he was on drugs. You can also see from the video that he throws something to the ground when he is handcuffed. Not sure what it is, but I think he isn't as innocent as you say.
so being on drugs makes it okay for the police to murder him. G fucking G!

so you proved the point of systemic racism, thanks.
The drugs are what killed him.

As for systemic racism, here it is :

I don't even understand why lichess raises such a fuss on BLM when there are almost no black chess players. They're not even 1% of chess players. From what I remember when I lived in a ghetto, hell, they despise chess.
They hate nerdy kids, the same kind of people who play chess.
@Chillkroete77 you claimed earlier that I denied police brutality. I have believed that US cops were exceptionally bad by global standards since the 1980's when multiple immigrants from the Soviet Union complained to me that US cops mistreated them in ways that Soviet cops never dared to. I have thought the US needs police reform decades before BLM was founded.

Regarding population size: yes, on a per capita basis, black MEN (but not black women) are about twice as likely to be mistreated. However, according to a study cited earlier in this thread by someone else, white and black cops are about equally likely to act badly. Also, if adjustments are made for economic background, the race difference disappears, but the gender difference remains. So the real story is that US cops OF ALL RACES are unusually bad to civilians OF ALL RACES, and the cops discriminate mainly on the bases of class and gender, much more than on the basis of race. Still, even middle class white women are in more danger from the cops in the US than in any other developed country.
