When I am playing in team tournaments there a player just below me of the opposite team but Lichess is not pairing me and I was sitting for 5 mins in a 35 mins tournament. Is there a bug with the pairing in arena tournaments?

It depends on your current ranking on the tournamnet. It also doesnt mean that there are less players and you get paired. There has to be sufficient players of suitable ratings for getting paired.

I feel in small tournaments this is not the most efficient way to do.

#5 I think it's a bug then because I am constantly paired with 1800+ while I'm 1400 (talking about blitz)

Similar tournament rankings, not ratings. But sometimes I indeed wonder why I'm not paired with someone available

When you say "of THE opposite team" you are probably talking about tournaments with only two teams like in https://lichess.org/tournament/1aOhNhSx? When one of those two teams has significantly more players than the other, then the trailing players of the bigger team often have to wait for quite some time, because all players of the smaller team are already involved in a game, or when they have finished one, they get paired against players with more points than you. I've once played such a tournament, lost my first game and then had to wait for 45 minutes for my second game. Probably because lots of other players from my team got frustrated and left the tournament, after that second game the pairings went smoothly as usual.
