Alekhine did not dominate his peers. While Euwe, a fine player but not a great, allowed Alekhine a world title rematch, Alekhine dodged this for Capablanca. Now Capablanca...
Ral wins hands down, of course.
Take a look at the immortal game Fischer-Gadia, Mar del Plata 1960 where Fischer played 21. Ral! and said, 'Tal moves his rooks back and forth, why can't I do the same?'

Actually, no. They are both good players, but Ral is stronger

For the five years from 1930 to 1935, Alekhine did seem to be pretty far ahead of the pack, while Capablanca appears to have been in decline. By 1935, apparently, a number of new young players were coming up.

An easier question to answer, which, Alekhine or Tal, would you rather have over for dinner? Alekhine was an unsocial rude hard to tolerate obsessed guy. Tal was also obsessed, I guess, but a friendly pleasant companion.
