Don't fix what is not broken.
v1 looked great from a desktop browser. v2 looks like a mistake: have you ever clicked by mistake on a mobile link from desktop browser? A mess, with huge fonts and crappy layout.
That's lichess now.
You cannot have a one-size-fits-all approach: fonts that look reasonable on mobile are grotesquely big on desktop.

I don't like this design. Old was much better
There are a few things that I don't like and don't understand why they were changed:
1- The clocks are very big. I can't fully focus on the board with that giant number going down.
2- The column of clocks/movelist can not be sized, like the board. This means that if I restrict the board size the clock section stays in the same dimension, which compared to new size of the board is very big.
3- If I keep the board geometry at 100% in crazyhouse games I can't see moves notation going on in game or after game (without going into analysis), it's very bad. If I zoom out moves notation appears but at the same time everything becomes very small, like the chat, the buttons, the friend list and even now I'm writing this post with super small character. This is unacceptable.
4- To me the color of the pieces seems a little blurred, like not fully bright. Everything is fine outside lichess.org.
5- I don't really like the fact I can't see anymore the number of games played in a specific mode when clicking on my or my opponent nickname. This doesn't help if I wanna see if I'm facing a new account or a veteran player.
6- The button on the top right which allowed me to see my ratings in all my modes is gone. I really loved it.
Normally I appreciate updates and surely I appreciate devs work and efforts on improving their creation, but this new version really changed negatively a lot of stuff that were working perfectly on v1.

In my mind, the last version was much better and logic, please give me the opportunity to use the last version.

It's just a big development from Version 1 to Version 2 and i'm very happy to see this development because i'm a big fan from this site and i think that is one of the best chess sites we have at the moment. So many thanks to lichess and to the developer for this big upgrade! Hopefully we will see more of those developments in the future. Of course there will be some bugs but i think thibault will fix it as fast as possible.

I love the new layout, great work! I do have two questions though:
1) Could you please make giving extra time optional? When I'm playing a game, I want to win on my own merits – so I don't want to be given extra time, ever. It's up to me to manage my time properly. I'm not asking to get rid of this feature altogether, just to make it possible to turn it off (just like enabling/disabling takebacks). Alternatively, you could build in an option that stops players from automatically winning on time.
2) Could you turn the preset 15+15 into 15+10? The latter is the official time control used by FIDE for rapid tournaments, so I don't see why lichess doesn't use it...
