I have the exact issue at the archived link below, but there is not solution or reason given for it.

I have played 6 games today, but they have all been attributed to the latest day in my Profile page, ie yesterday. Today does not exist yet.
Cheers

Mine are often the opposite: the games register as "tomorrow", even if I just played them. I think it's because Lichess only uses one time zone, and it's in Europe somewhere. (Europe experiences tomorrow several hours before me, each day.)

For Lichess games, a day starts at 0:00 UTC (World time). Just check the difference between your local time and UTC to see when your games will be saved with a new date.

This definitely needs a bugfix. Games for the day should track the users's local timezone, not UTC.
If I go to my profile, I would like to see my activity for the day, not my activity for part of today and part of yesterday.

Exactly. "Today, Chan_Fry did..." but not really. Some of that I did on a different day.
(Possibly related, but it's even more difficult when it comes to correspondence games, because only the start date is listed. A game that ended today might be listed as "2 months ago" in my archived games.)
