Draw squares on the chess board?

Do you think that is useful to draw squares on the chess board ? Just like we do with arrows?

Personally for me, when I am thinking my next moves it helps me visualize to know which of my area is exposed or which to attack.

Being able to draw on board while playing a game is IMHO a very questionable feature that I would personally like being removed rather than extended.

BtW, the shape in your picture is not a square.
