Is it an advantage to be older in chess?

One question we didn't talked about. Is OP referring to classical otb or the true and one and only discipline of chess like bullet and blitzgames where the real chessskills come to play?
Looking back I thought I knew everything - I had no clue about chess. It takes you some decades.

By the way, because you mentioned Bullet & Blitz: in e-sports you are getting too old being 18+ y.o. ...
Being younger and faster is ok but I have one problem at this age it's experience sometimes I come across positions where 1 +1 is not =2 overwhelming positions which im not familiar with where i think I'm losing but actually it's just a small edge for W or B and this also contributes to the psychological strength that comes with being more experienced which I don't have as a young player I just have to lean on my knowledge which is not much but with all those components that I don't have I'm glad to have speed and the hunger to learn more in the game
As an older player I certainly know and understand more of the game, but I do not have the intensity, focus, and concentration that I had when younger.
