www.youtube.com/watch?v=LikdmXfWO2AIt took me a while to understand but this is some really exciting stuff!
i don't think its fair to call it randomness as its all about probabilities, and it still retains many chess concepts and strategies(for example, its good to exchange one of your low probability pieces to a high probability one)
While it doesn’t seem fair to call it random and without strategic dimension, this, as exciting as it may be, can’t end up on lichess, nor any other chess website, at least at the moment. It’s hard to code, needs changes in the UI, and is probably copyrighted or patented anyway.
Just let this project fly by itself. And remember it is still under development.
#4 I agree, there's no need to compete with the author and it's probably patented. Besides, other interesting chess variants with imperfect information (like Fog of War Chess a.k.a. Dark Chess) don't involve randomness.
"General Chess Discussion"? Haha.
