why does no one except for me like pink floyd nowadays

I have a lot of respect for PF, and Roger Waters in particular. Anyone care to guess which PF songs I have used teaching EFL?

I'm guessing Another Brick in The Wall (Part II). "You! Yes, you, behind the bike sheds. Stand still, laddie!"

My listening progression started like:

Dark Side of the Moon
Animals
Wish you were Here

WYWH was one of those I listened to nearly every day for a year

People like processed food it seems, same applies to music sadly.

Try asking them about Deep Purple, Wishbone Ash, Tangerine Dream , IQ , Utopia and so on.

If you like blank stares that is lol

Wish You Were Here is a such great album and it would be held in even higher regard if it had not followed straight after Dark Side of the Moon. The fact that they produced consecutively the three albums you mentioned was an incredible achievement.

I saw Wishbone Ash for the first time at Alexandra Palace in London in August 1973. They were headlining and supported by Renaissance, Vinegar Joe, Al Stewart and Ten Years After. A great line-up.

"Phaedra" was a really big album back in the mid-1970s. Have you got that one? It still sounds great on my headphones (sitting in the dark is best!).
