If an American player said they supported the US decision to bomb Iran, would they be suspended?

@coledavis said in #120:

As you seem sure I'm motivated by antisemitism:

Have a watch if you want to see what some American Jews who grew up zionist have to say about it, it may change your mind. It's a great documentary about this exact thing, why is there such a difference between Israel and other countries

You couldn't answer my question honestly about your focus on Israel. Antisemitism it is.

And I don't rely on YouTube for understanding the world... Mockumentaries.

I've answered your question but I'll repeat myself gladly:
The answer is simple only one genocide is supported actively by all western governments including mine. This means I'm partly responsible for this genocide, that is why I'm focused on it.

And I don't rely on YouTube for understanding the world... Mockumentaries.

It's not a youtube video it's an actual documentary film that ran in cinemas, it's just available for free on YouTube (legal because it's important that it's seen by people) .

From Wikipedia:

The film has won awards at film festivals, including at the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival.[9] Writing in Jacobin of "the idea that caring about Jewish people means supporting the state of Israel and that anyone who condemns Israel's treatment of the Palestinians must be an antisemite", Ben Burgis said, "Israelism takes apart that narrative, brick by brick, until nothing is left."

You seem to think that if you keep on saying 'genocide', therefore it is. Your comments are gobbledygook, a smokescreen to disguise your prejudices. I care not what Ben Burgis has to say, and Wikipedia (is all your information drawn from the internet?). I did not say anybody condemning what is going on must be an antisemite - I condemn what is going on. What I said was that people who focus on Israel alone, especially making unqualified references to genocide, are antisemitic. That includes you, regardless of your puff about narratives, and western governments (the terrible racist democracies), and cultural ravings.

I was more thinking of the passage:

The film has won awards at film festivals, including at the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival

But you probably don't care anyway.

One day you'll have always been against the genocide. Maybe you'll think of me then. ;)

I've been called antisemite enough by you so I'll see myself out.

No. I'm not and I don't. You'll probably call any anti zionist Jews not real Jews, or how does that work? Are they antisemites too?

What about this guy? Not an antisemite in your world right?

A black person against Civil Rights can still be racist. Anti-Zionist Jews are still Jews, but they hold an antisemitic position.

Also, it's funny how you ignored everything that refuted your lies and nonsense.

It won a film festival! well then, I really need to reconsider my political views on that criterion.

Chris Plummer was Wellington in the film of Waterloo - and he won! but I quite liked Rod Steiger as Napoleon. Does that make me a reactionary Conservative or a revisionist Bonapartist?

May consult The Matrix about it. And old Tom Hanks, perhaps he'll tell me how to vote.

I don't get this at all. It's a serious documentary film that's why I quoted the film festival, that's all that means. I only said that because you thought it was just some youtube video.

It's a good film about young Jewish people who invested half their life for the Israeli cause. It's well worth a watch especially for free. You'll learn something for sure!

What movie actors and fiction films have to do with it I don't get at all.

My point is that luvvies may be good at critiquing films, but their political judgement is another thing again. Just think of the artistes you happen to agree with, and then remember the ones you think are really stupid. The other thing is, people do seem to feel pressured when the popular wind blows in a particular direction.

And I don't much care what is said by American Zionists say, or American anti-Zionists, or Christian Jews (or is it the other way round), and so on. If I wanted to find out about religious silliness, I don't need to go that far.

Love how there's so much more focus on how terrible the US is cause they ended the worst war ever using nukes (and thus preventing any other future first use which may have been way more catastrophic due to their increasing power)

Vs focus on who they used it on and ended the war with... aka the Japanese empire that attacked unprovoked, killed hundreds of thousands in some of the most brutal disgusting human experimentation ever, hundreds of thousands in Nanjing along through brutal rapes & torture, countless millions in China and across the pacific.

Might have done some good, but firstly—Nukes should definitely not have been the way to end it. If the USA didn't want to be better than the USSR, there won't be 2 nations with a collective stockpile of 14k nukes.

Secondly, have you ever heard of the CIA and the CIA "torture camps"? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZH3BgbqCko)

Also, you talk about the atrocities the Japanese took part in. Have you ever heard of the atrocities the military took part in in Afghanistan? Of course you haven't. Afghanistan is a sidelines third world country, and the atrocities committed there—not by the military personnel, for whom I have deep respect for—but by the higher commission, i.e., the CIA and POLITICS.

The US certainly stopped several wars and crimes, but in doing so, became a war criminal themselves. Not much better.

(PS: I don't outright support Johnny Harris, seeing his recent controversies regarding biased opinions, but nonetheless, the evidence in the video is factually correct. You can search yourselves regarding such matter, you'll find lots of evidence-based articles and documentaries.)
