Insulted after winning an Exchange for piece and pawn down

I say 'gg' innocently win or lose to be polite. But it does taken the wrong way sometimes. But then again some people will always be angry when they lose.
dude if he "attacked" you in the chat box just flame him back
Normally most players don't like losing, right? That matters much to most of us. So imposing "gg" on someone is too much. I doubt that many get it right. Probably the only thing they see when they lose is the result. What's good about that? And not many will regard it as congratulation on your loss.

Are you all new in the internet?

There's a offline comparasion: giving both players the hand after a match as a bystander. You congratulate the winner and say something like "well played, sry!" to the loser. But although there are further pieces of information (speech, facial expressions) you have to be extremely cautious what to do and say to the loser.
Just keep it sincere and dont say stuff just to say stuff. If you say "gg" then it was because you think it was a good game.
