What is the point in playing Bullet chess?

I find it quite entertaining and often do well in the Daily bullet at lichess. It is a bit of a thrill really and part of the thrill is also just winning on time to be honest!. This is a skill in itself as you have to try and work out the probability of survival or how easy it is to do “short-moves” i.e. don’t take too long to physically play on the screen sometimes, or how to keep trying to check the opponent to interfere with their premoves. The clock becomes a massive part of the game, and you can also play more positively with low expectations of accurate defense etc.

Basically it is like an arcade version of chess, and I used to love Arcade games on my Atari etc back in the day.

Also it is the easiest to police for engine cheating from a server point of view than any longer time limit. There are many titled bullet tournament running everyday on lichess and they used bullet chess as the time control.
I really only play bullet as a break from studying and playing long games. Also its the time control I'm worst at lol. :)
LOL! The Irony..."Also it is the easiest to police for engine cheating from a server point of view than any longer time limit. There are many titled bullet tournament running everyday on lichess and they used bullet chess as the time control."

Yeah you got caught red handed>> @nsfida
It can be fun... but it probably takes some energy to be consistently good at it, and I often play when I'm a bit tired. That said, I seem to be better at it than I am at other time controls.

But at the end of the day, what matters is that it's fun. And chess should be fun.
@scorpion_clone Thanks for your compliment.
The issue has been raised to the owner. And hopefully they will work on it.

My account is flagged today, just because I won 230 games out of 353 in last few days. And my rating goes higher than my expectations.
I personally analyze my each game after playing and work on my mistakes and blunders. I find lot of blunders like an average of 04 to 07 in each game.
But I believe in Bullet everyone is playing, as I found this number of blunders in GM's, CM's, FM's and IM's games too.

I am still shocked and wondering about my flagged status.

Hopefully @thibault will look after this issue.
