I think the chicken came first, maybe the chicken evolved from a dinosaur and then laid an egg! What do you think? Answer the question and then answer why you think so.
Egg came first, because the chicken comes FROM the egg. Dinosaurs were also laying eggs (some of them I think).

An almost chicken laid an egg. The offspring in the egg had a genetic mutation that was just enough different from it's parents for it to be a fully fledged chicken and not a proto-chicken like its parents
