Why you should report cheaters

It seems people are not reporting cheaters or they just don't care. I have played many cheaters that have been around for some time. I've recently reported a guy who had already more than 97 rated games played. 97??? Really? And nobody saw what the idiot was doing? Come on, guys! If you don't take a while to investigate and report those cheaters things will only get worse.
I have denounced many cheaters and I'm glad I did because I don't want to see cheating prevail. We are here to play against other people and not Stockfish.
By the way, before someone says I'm making things up, here's the cheater's profile I'm talking about:

A cheater is somebody who uses illegal assistance during a game. For example In chess an engine or books or databases or hints from another person.
I reported players who had 1000+, 3000+ and even 4000+ (!!!) games. And they were banned. Though they were not as obvious as an example in #1. Yes, it's the shame, but I suggest Lichess can not watch every single player. So I support the topic - report suspicious cases.
I like that you get a thank you notification after you report someone! But it's awful that people keep doing this. Only yesterday someone wrecked the hourly tournament by (idiotically) playing a whole host of games with 0-0-0 rating in the analysis. It's crap because it disrupts your flow, the tournament score etc.
I reported a player yesterday. He was playing so poorly that he was 3 pawns down and then all of a sudden he had an amazing attack. I found it VERY hard to believe that all of a sudden he was THAT good - but we'll see.
Personally, if I had been 3 pawns down, I would have resigned.
Why would somebody want to cheat at playing chess? I guess it's just to have a higher rating. But what good does that do? I was once told by the mods that they discovered that I was playing against a cheater, and I was awarded 10 or so points. I never tried to look and see who might've been cheating, and never really gave it much thought. So what's the deal? Why do people want to cheat? For a higher rating? Is it to get praise and recognition from a few other players?

@johnstrini, I looked at your recent finished game which was full of errors on both sides, Black was indeed three pawns up. White ACPL 64, 7/6/0 and Black. 3/4/4 and and 100(!! - a full pawn gone with every move on average). By the way, sacrificing two pawns is more or less theory in this line, don't call it "losing". And yeah, one calls it compensation!

Because some guys report EVERYONE who wins against them things are not easy... Mind checking it first with the auto-analysis before reporting?

Yeah, it's better to close the thread!
