Chess.com PR...again...
This site hails from France. The Other Network is based in Palo Alto, CA. Perhaps that's the reason.

This is probably sh*t advice but honestly I feel that connecting to free WiFi at a Starbucks or McDonald's gives me lower ping/better connection than connecting to WiFi at my home...I'm no IT expert but yeah...

@Daksh_ccs605 the ping issue is 100% network and has nothing to with Lichess
When I say network, I mean everything between your machine and Lichess server.
So, yes, playing using a supermarket wifi may not be great.
There are already a few (even a lot of) topics about that. The conclusion (at least for me) is that playing bullet and hyper bullet is not really compatible with a bad connection (even if the bad connection is not really your fault)
The reason why it seems better with the green pawn is that they have a network of servers (aka Realtime Chess Network) so that you always have a fairly good ping.
