FM Niles R

Is FM Niles R really a FIDE master? I mean in terms of originality and chess opening I almost know nothing, but they are well-informed and familiar with different tactics, I was wondering whether these titles FM, LM, IM etc are sth that you choose in your profile or not. I have played a lot of ferocious opponents with high ratings and titles but sometimes they don't fulfill my expectations at all.
