Haruki Murakami!

Yes, norwegian wood, men without women, colorless, hard-boiled wonderland
The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle is decent, can recommend
I found 1Q84 to be surreal, haunting, and one of those books that I found myself thinking about well after finishing.

I understand that most critics find this to be one of his weakest works, but oddly I haven't read any others though I've always meant to.
He's one of my favorite authors. I really liked hard-boiled wonderland and the end of the world, something about the like magical realism and kind of dreamlike way he writes really captures me
