For example, if I heart a certain post, Lichess would keep a record of that reaction. After I do that, if I go to my profile, I could search up posts that I reacted with a heart, a like, a dislike, a thinking emoji, or a laughing emoji.

Thats a good idea, I suppose however you could just comment something and it would save it in the meantime

The number one thing you should ask when making a feature request: How would this improve the site?
I don't see any way that this would be helpful. Further, it would probably turn the forums into a popularity contest, which is never a good thing.

It would improve the site by being able to look at your favorite posts made by other people that you may not be able to find. This could induce nostalgia and bring back memories of the posts.
How would it turn the forums into a popularity contest? Whenever Lichess makes a blog post discussion in the forums, people race to be first to comment, hoping to get likes and hearts (for example me). You only have to react to a post, and you wouldn't be reacting to the post if it wasn't important.

//Couldn't you just bookmark it in your browser? Also, would you mind telling me where you find these life-altering posts in lichess? Apparently, I've been in the wrong part of the forums.

//That's not exactly disproving my point-- people will rush to get the most reactions, hope to get popular, and use the system to fish for followers.

clousems if you bookmark the favorite posts you will eventually have too many favorite posts in your bookmarks. By life-altering posts I mean the ones with people you are close to, like team members or friends supporting you or a large amount of praise from someone.

Not needed enough to invest resources in. I'd imagine you mean something like "favorite posts" on Reddit. However, Lichess is not meant to be a messaging or forum site. I also agree with #4.

Apparently bookmarking will be cluttered but not the reactions?
How exactly does that logic work?
