Idk if this is useful but my current spice tolerance gives me about 4 tbsp of Lao Gan Ma's worth of spice before I can start feeling the heat!
Eating Garlic can be a nice training. Grated garlic clove on bread, I believe it's an Italian thing.
it is :)

Being a shy little asian,(indian) I am great at this stuff. But i feel people just overhype this stuff with Indian spice tolerance.I used to be a kid bad at spice but now I am great as (umm ,I have to tolerate spicy food daily).

I dont understand why people try spicy things. It will significantly diminish to actually taste the food you are eating.
I like to taste the food.

@Alientcp I too don't understand the hype of spicy being treated as a flavor instead of just helping add to the food. But - I would love it if I could have a higher spice tolerance, as I do believe up to a certain point the kick does add extra flavour.

You're welcome to try French food, for real, yet it lack spice, it's tasty without. Except if it's not that weird "tourists-trap" food like snails or frogs that no one will eat.

When I eat food that is way too spicy for me, not only does it burn my mouth, but when I go to the bathroom later, it also burns my butt.

Idk abt anyone else, but for me having ice cream as a dessert helps to cool down my mouth after eating spicy food.

For context, I have the spice tolerance of a newborn, but I love adding little bits in (but like flavorful chili oil, sriracha is overrated imho) because a tiny bit is comforting.
Anyhow I tried to train my spice tolerance a while ago with sriracha shots - it went terrible cuz my throat died and refused to work for a full week. Nowadays I just add chili pepper to oil when frying things or sriracha into mayo for sauces since we have too much in the house, but today I was feeling a bit more adventerous so I added about six to seven tablespoons worth of chili flakes to my dinner (nuh-uh Gen Alpha don't you dare traumatize me again). And man...it tasted so good...but during the last few bites I was definitely feeling a little bit of the heat...
So yea, I need help with non-painful ways to give this American some Asian spice tolerance
:((
