because correspondence takes days bruh
use some common sense
use some common sense
I can take a long time to finish
#1: I'm guessing it's because you can easily cheat in correspondence - and it's really hard to actually detect it, because people have so much time to think about their moves, and (I think) you don't know how much time they spent on each move, unlike in non-correspondence games.
It wouldn't really be a plus to have tournaments for a time-control where you can't detect cheaters.

There are correspondence tournaments. lichess.org/team/correspondence-league

No offence, that's a bit rude, though I do agree.

sorry, but im still really angry about something
It would be great if Lichess had correspondence tournament functionality (like another site..)
I know some teams/clubs/groups would use it. I'm in one at the moment but the tournament organiser is running it off a spreadsheet. Everyone needs to send their own game requests and then report back with the results as it's not automated.
I understand that Lichess is worried about cheaters so probably won't run official tournaments. It would be great if teams could run tournaments.
