@ummmwhatever those are definitely 2 great additions as well! The more options the better.
If we were able to abort a limitless amount of games instead of just 2 or 3 that would also solve the problem.
The suggestion of a titled player pairing seems a bit like elitist tripe, to be totally honest.
The actual problem here seems to be that professional players are (rightfully) very frustrated by cheaters and dont want to lose ratings points to cheaters.
But .... EVERYONE wants that, not just titled players.
A solution that only protects titled players is a half-measure, at best. The actual solution is to improve the cheating detection and the rating-point-refunding system in Lichess.
While I wouldnt mind if losses by rated players get priority in such a Cheating Detection System, it could be something that benefits the entire community.
I think I'll look into the coding for an enhancement like this. Probably could do it in a few weeks, if I have time (though I am about to start some international travel for about a month).

@SacsMcblunderson Improving the cheating system is always going to be the best solution but that's a much bigger theme, this will directly influence the amount of cheaters on lichess because like @AndEweBar mentioned:
"Apart from getting up to the levels to play a proven master - what is the point of someone attempting to cheat?"
I am pretty certain that this is the most common case of cheaters other than bots (a lot easier to catch) or people playing for money.
And yes I agree that it's a bit elitist but I don't believe there is another way to sort out people for what I call confirmed/verified accounts. I wouldn't mind if lichess will sort pairings by verified accounts (maybe adding a layer to the verification process will help). That could be a cool category that could be similar to the idea of only titled players parings.

LM (lichens master)? I didn't know it. I hear it from you just now. how can I get this title? does it only need lichess rating or something else? 🙏🙏
I don't really think lichess has that many cheaters. I made a post and estimated cheaters at 5% and got muted and had to appeal. So, I'm sure the amount of cheaters is way less than that. I haven't gotten a notification of playing a cheater in my last several thousand games now. I saw a poll on youtube recently asking "Have you ever cheated in online chess?" and 18% said yes, with 30k votes.
@HassanLessani lichess.org/faq#lm It's not given out anymore though as far as I know.
Make friends to play series on personal challenge.
Follow titled players and match them.
There are not many players in your rating range (you are 99.99% better!) so I guess you will either have to wait forever for a pairing or will end up playing a loosy WFM right there :-)

Yes this is a very nice idea but we non titled players too want chances to play against some titled players ,
So if this feature is added ( in case ) you will also need to quick parings
So if you obey my tlk then i'm with you with the thought

As Funkmaus said, I relate to your points but GOOD LUCK with the waiting times ...
