One thing I really hate about chess.

I love chess but for me this happens all the time.

I miss 3 days or a week not playing any chess games, gets back on playing chess or solving a puzzle and ending up being extremely bad at chess.
For me often it's the opposite. If I take a longer chess break,
I play better with more focus.
What does that mean „3 days or a week without chess?“
I took about a 2 month break from playing classical and rapid... played nothing but bullet and blitz; Now I am back to longer time controls and still moving at a blitz pace. I can't seem to just slow down and think... I'm playing about 300 points lower than where I was before the blitz and bullet vacation.
Since I've started playing chess, about three years ago, I haven't gone a day without playing at least one or two games of chess.
One thing I really hate about chess....chessplayers
well,
I hadn't played any single chess game in 20 years, and my "poor" level stayed where I left it back then..
For the past 6 months where I have been playing A LOT, studing, books, making problems etc etc, my level is still exactly the same !!

Thats what I hate about chess!! but i still love it so much :D
Chess is brutal because there is no one else to blame for one's own ineptitude.
