SOJB, bitter much bro?
I like how you say "as a 2000 player" you forgot to input "as a 2000 lichess player"
2000+ lichess is like 1500-1600 OTB ELOs. haha
Refusing advice from someone because they are not "better than you" is not a good approach for chess or life in general.
You can learn something valuable from anyone if you are open to listening.

So in making a post about people getting above their station , I have been called jealous , bitter and that I have low self esteem.
These are all emotions you worry about when you you have no life experience. I didn't get personal to any one particular person , why when you reply do you have the right to get personal about it. This bugs me more than my original topic . People getting personal. Not to mention the obtuse ones , that say ' I don't get it 'and the trolls that try and wind you up . All I was saying was, being better at chess doesn't make you a better person than others xxx the whole psyche of a chess player is am I better than you? xxx

This is clearly true and you are right to make the point.
Perhaps some of us are too fixated on the rating. Ratings are a useful tool to ensure that everyone gets interesting challenging games by choosing appropriate opponents, but no more than that, and your topic is a useful reminder that ratings should not be misused as any sort of status symbol or any reason to talk down to anyone else.

If we are talking about chess I have absolutely nothing to learn from a 1500.

What's a 1500? Do you mean the Volkswagen 1500, one of the old Beetles? They were great cars, but I agree there's not much to learn from them these days.
