As of today, Lizzy Pähtz will be GM!

There might be some issues with a former GM norm. As you can see there is a „rule corner“ concerning such things, too.

which person?
Just out of curiosity, in German, is Beth a common shortening of Elizabeth?
#15 No, that would be 'Lisa', 'Lisbeth', 'Liesel', and maybe 'Bettie' from English and because it is used a lot as short form for 'Bettina'. 'Elsie' maybe, but 'Else' is a name in itself, too.

You tell us. Have the balls to put your money where your mouth is!

It wasn't her. Someone took control of her lichess account. She was in Paris at the time, but the access to her account was from Berlin.
She gave control of her account to someone else to play in her name (her PR guy IIRC) . She did this apparently to save herself time, and still benefit from the exposure. This itself is already extremely dishonest, against TOS and potentially considered cheating depending on your view.

Then this guy started to use an engine and got banned.
According to a german chess website her second GM norm from 2016 might not be valid because she played only 2 GMs at that tournament instead of the necessary 3.

Edit: I see, SargOn already mentioned it in an earlier post.
