I need to know how it goes please post a conclusion when you have results

I've never understood the point of 1 d4 d5 2. Bg5, they call that what, the Pseudo-Trompowsky? If 2....Nf6 I guess they play 3 Bxf6 if they don't want a QGD transposition, but that seems pretty harmless.

I'm very interested in the result! What is your current rating?

I also tried similar thing (experimenting a lot etc.), and in my case it went badly - I feel like am playing these new positions much worse then previous repertoire, rating drop is also significant. However, it happened gradually and took quite some time, at the beginning difference wasn't so big

One idea is going e3-f4 and do a white stonewall-Dutch with the bad-bishop outside the chain. Black has to cooperate though

I did something similar before, im an e4 player, never played d4 in my life, but i was teaching someone in my family catalan,(about 1500-1600 fide player) and tried to get a bit of experience in blitz games. I didnt see that big difference of the avarage player i was able to beat, but my accuracy went down, in a long OTB game i would defenetly underperform. I dont think in (online) blitz it matters that much, most of the games we just overlook an obvious blunder anyway :D

I knew about 50% of the typical plans of the catalan, and one single line with no sidelines. So i would say fairly close to no knowledge.

I was going to do the same thing after playing some DGT games
