Thank you everyone for starting your round 7, 8 and 9 games. Unfortunately, @IAmMateCheckmate has withdrawn from the league. Victories have been awarded to his opponents for the final three rounds. It's extremely tight at the top in the battle for promotion. Anyone of the top five has a chance at claiming the holy grail of the top two spots and a ticket to the top flight. Long time leader @JamannChess and @Grand-Suomi are currently the two in possession, although @Yunier2017 has up to two games in hand on the others and even @Arabsalam in sixth place can't be ruled out with games in hand. At the bottom, @the_puzzles may be bottom but still has a shot at staying up. The crunch clash with relegation rival @CarlFromFinland will be pivotal for both players. It's been looking bleak for most of the season for @JournoPete83, but the points from @IamMateCheckmate withdrawing have pushed him out of the relegation zone... For now... All three players still have work to do! I'll double check all games have started - if any haven't, can they please be started by Monday (Feb 10th). Best of luck everyone!
